As mentioned in my August 9, 2009 post “Playing with Digital Photography“, High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography is used to accentuate the luminescence and color range of a picture, typically by combining 3 or more shots of the same scene taken with different exposures. While not appropriate for most snapshots, HDR can create wonderfully colored, often exaggerated, photographic detail. Each of these shots were created by combining 3 separate pictures taken with a Canon PowerShot G3.
